Dr. Tricia Murphy was born and raised on the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. During her time on the island, she served as an officer in the United States Army Reserves for eight years and is a decorated First Gulf War combat veteran.
As an Internal Medicine Provider at Intermountain Health, Dr. Murphy specializes in senior care, preventative care, and end of life care. Dr. Murphy is bilingual in Spanish and English and can provide care for Spanish speaking patients. She is passionate about teaching her patients the “ABC’s” of healthcare: Ask your doctor, Be proactive, and Commit to Health. In her free time, Dr. Murphy enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and their two dogs, Piper and Stacy.
Dr. Murphy received her MD from the University of Puerto Rico, Medical Sciences Campus, where she also did her residency and fellowship. She is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and a member of the American College of Physicians (ACP) and the American Medical Association. Dr. Murphy has been practicing medicine for over 15 years and believes in teaching patients the importance of preventative care.
