Dr. Thomas Bergren joined Intermountain Health’s Desert Heights myGeneration Senior Clinic because it offered him a great opportunity to work in a location near his family. He specializes in internal medicine and enjoys helping patients manage multiple chronic conditions.
Dr. Bergren grew up in Portage, Michigan, and two of his uncles are also medical professionals. He is proud to have served in the frontlines in the ICU fighting the COVID-19 pandemic.
Dr. Bergren earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University in East Lansing. He did a three-year internal medicine residency program at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, where he served as resident physician at a Level I Trauma Center and cared for up to 16 patients a day, in addition to working in an outpatient continuity clinic with more than 40 personal patients.
Dr. Bergren has participated in research and made presentations at professional conferences and is a member of the American Medical Association.
