Dr. Seyed Mirabbasi joined Intermountain Healthcare’s Cornerstone Primary Care Clinic because he admires the way we focus on quality of care and patient satisfaction. He enjoys helping senior patients improve their lives and especially likes challenging cases that give him the opportunity to help patients who need him the most.
Dr. Mirabbasi grew up in Tehran, Iran, and was greatly influenced to pursue medicine by his older brother who is a physician. He chose internal medicine because he feels it allows him to impact his patients’ lives in a special way.
Dr. Mirabbasi holds an MD from Gorgan University of Medical Science in Iran. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Easton Hospital, Drexel University College of Medicine in Easton, Pennsylvania. He served a fellowship in geriatric medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital, University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in Miami, Florida. He is certified by the American Board of Geriatric Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has published numerous papers in professional journals and has been a featured presenter at several cardiology conventions.
In his spare time, he enjoys swimming, reading, biking, and tennis. He is fluent in Farsi.
