Dr. Saira Beg is always looking to challenge the status quo of medicine as she strives to grow and learn in her field. Growing up in London, Dr. Beg was exposed to a different kind of healthcare system, as healthcare is socialized in England. This influenced her decision to go into medicine as everyone, from birth to the elderly, was able to receive quality care regardless of insurance.

At Intermountain Health, Dr. Beg is a family medicine provider and an Associate Medical Director specializing in senior care. She has been recognized by her peers and leadership for her Service Excellence and Continuous Improvement. Dr. Beg receives the most satisfaction in her work when she sees her patients improve. She enjoys building relationships with her patients, colleagues, and caregivers and gets particular satisfaction from working on challenging cases as it gives her the opportunity to learn and stimulates her thought process.

When she is not working, Dr. Beg pursues a wide array of hobbies like travel, hiking, and gardening which help her de-stress and add value to her life. As a people person, Dr. Beg loves socializing with friends and spending time with her family. She is also actively involved in Developments in Literacy, a charity program that educates underserved children, specifically girls, in Pakistan.

Dr. Beg received her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Texas, San Antonio. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Beg is bilingual –speaking both English and Urdu –and can assist patients in both languages.
