Dr. Pradipta Chaudhuri grew up in a small village in India before he left for boarding school. It was there he learned English and applied himself enough to become a doctor. When his mother was affected by heart disease while he was in medical school, Dr. Chaudhuri decided to go into cardiology.
Dr. Chaudhuri obtained his medical degree at Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajpati Medical College in India. His residency was completed at Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling, WV followed by additional specialization at the Western Pennsylvania Cardiology Fellowship Program in Pittsburgh, PA. During his residency and fellowship, he was named Chief Resident and Chief Cardiology Fellow, respectively.
Dr. Chaudhuri is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a subspecialty certification in Cardiology. He admits that after decades of practice, he still loves getting to know his patients and helping them get to their health goals. Bilingual in English and Hindi, he believes his ability to communicate and his passion for world travel makes him a better clinician.
When Dr. Chaudhuri is not busy seeing patients or traveling to exotic locales, he relishes time with his family that includes playing with his Golden Retriever, Scribbles, or developing software programs for fun.
