Dr. Nabil Elkhoury could certainly be considered a modern-day Renaissance man. Not only is he fluent in four languages, practices martial arts and has traveled the world, but his reason for becoming an OB/GYN is largely due to his desire to help women make empowered and informed decisions. The fact that he’s also a father of two daughters only reinforces that belief.
After completing his bachelors in biology at Lebanese University in Tripoli, Lebanon, Dr. Elkhoury continued on to Kaunas University of Medicine in Lithuania for his medical degree. His residencies were spent at American University of Beirut, Lebanon, followed by Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, Virginia. Dr. Elkhoury received a certificate in Safety, Quality, Informatics and Leadership (SOIL) from Harvard Medical School in April 2019. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and has been in practice for over a decade. He’s currently pursuing his Master of Science in Medical Education through Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Elkhoury’s academic and clinical pursuits make him a skilled clinician who can manage many gynecologic and obstetrical concerns. His education in advanced laparoscopy and pelvic reconstruction surgery prepares him to help the unique needs of females. Dr. Elkhoury’s philosophy is as much a physician as he is an advocate for his patients. Since he speaks Arabic, French and Lithuanian in addition to English, he can communicate to many patients. In his free time, Dr. Elkhoury enjoys being in the outdoors hiking, camping, and cooking. He loves all animals and enjoys ballroom dancing.
