Dr. Mohammad Atif joined Intermountain Health because it offers him an opportunity to grow his practice skills and give back to the community of Las Vegas.

Before joining Intermountain Health, Dr. Atif worked as an emergency department medical scribe at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore where he transcribed all the details of medical procedures.

He has developed skills that run the gamut from laceration repairs and joint injections to circumcision, casting and splinting, biopsies, and wound management. He comes from a family of medical professionals with an older brother who is an ER physician in Maryland and a younger brother who is a physician assistant in New York.

Dr. Atif earned his BS in biology from University of Maryland Baltimore County. He earned his MD from St. George’s University School of Medicine in Grenada, during which time he performed a year of clinical rotation at St. Joseph’s Hospital in New Jersey and at Dekalb Hospital in Atlanta. He did his residency in family health at Centra Health in Lynchburg, Virginia.
