Dr. Volker joined Healthcare Partners-DaVita Medical Group NYSE: DVA in May 2017, through the acquisition of WellHealth Quality Care, where he served as the CEO for 5 years. Prior to that, he was the Managing Partner and CEO of Women’s Specialty Care, PLLC from August 2003 –November 2012. He was clinical professor and director of research from July 2001 –August 2003 at the University of Nevada School of Medicine.
In his role at Healthcare Partner Nevada, Dr. Volker is responsible for specialties (outpatient/hospital-based) and fee-for-service primary care. He is part of the team working with commercial, government and self-funded payors leading to value-based opportunities. He works with provider recruiting & ongoing professional development. He oversees GME and research.
Dr. Volker completed his residency in 2001 at the University of Nevada School of Medicine, Las Vegas. He is board-certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology. He is subspecialty certified in Minimally Invasive & Robotic (MIGS) Gynecology/Pelvic reconstruction surgery. He completed medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine. He has his doctorate and master’s degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. He holds a BBA in Finance Management.
Dr. Volker lives in Las Vegas with his wife, Michele. They have 3 children, (Adam, Alex and Alyssa) and a dog (Boo). When he is not working, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, competing in Spartan Obstacle Races, working-out and playing guitar.
