Dr. Juanita Ramirez grew up in central California in a segregated community with limited bilingual physicians. It was this background that first influenced her to become a physician and drives her work to this day.

At Intermountain Health, Dr. Ramirez is a family medicine physician, seeing patients of all backgrounds at our Maryland Parkway myGeneration Senior Clinic. She finds the most satisfaction in her work when she is able to help her patients improve their quality of life through improving their health. Dr. Ramirez is passionate about her patients and works to provide the best quality care in whatever way she can.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Ramirez pursues different hobbies like playing volleyball and painting. She also loves being with her family and playing in the backyard with them.

Dr. Ramirez received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Irvine in Biological Sciences and her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She completed her residency at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine.

Dr. Ramirez has won several awards for her exceptional work. These include the Outstanding Community Service Award (Kennett Square Project) in 2001-2002, the Family Medicine National Conference Scholarship in 2003, Compassionate Doctor Recognition and the Patients’ Choice Award from Vitals.com in 2018 and Bridges to Excellence: Physician Office Systems Recognition Program.
