Dr. Donald Wingard is an Ohio native who is passionate about senior care.
After earning his bachelor’s in biology at Saint Vincent College, Dr. Wingard completed his medical degree at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He served his residency at Youngstown Osteopathic Hospital and is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also certified by the Department of Transportation to provide driver’s license medical examinations.
At Intermountain Health, Dr. Wingard is a myGeneration Senior Clinic provider specializing in geriatric care. He likes getting to know each of his patients and building a rapport with them. He especially enjoys helping elderly patients maintain independence as he knows how that’s important to any person. Dr. Wingard emphasizes preventative care and helping patients enhance their quality of life through small, regular changes in activity or food choices.
When he is not at work, Dr. Wingard likes spending his free time with his wife and dog. He also enjoys reading and working with computers.
