Bernadette Santos joined Intermountain Healthcare because she wanted to be part of a reputable healthcare organization that provides excellent care to both patients and employees. She enjoys working in obstetrics because it gives her the opportunity to be part of one of the most special journeys in her patients’ lives.
Before coming to Intermountain Healthcare at our Centennial Hills Clinic, she served for five years as a labor and delivery nurse and in the newborn nursery at Summerlin Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas.
Ms. Santos earned her BS in nursing from University of Nevada Las Vegas and her MS in nursing from Purdue University in Indianapolis, Indiana. She went back to school once her children were grown to get her BS degree, and then pursued her MS while working full-time.
Ms. Santos is licensed as an APRN. She is board certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, neonatal resuscitation, AWHONN fetal heart monitoring and advanced fetal heart monitoring, and a certified lactation consultant. She is also certified in Microsoft Office professional business applications.
Growing up in Hawaii, Ms. Santos performed professionally as a hula and Tahitian dancer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, swimming and watching movies.
