Dr. Stocking enjoys helping seniors overcome complex and challenging medical problems. Her goal is to improve the quality of each patient’s life, especially if they are in their seventies or above.
Dr. Stocking grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and was attracted to medicine as an outlet for her considerable problem-solving abilities. She gained an interest in elderly patients while working in a nursing home between the ages of fifteen and seventeen as an MA, and later went to nursing school. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and has performed research involving vitamin deficiencies and colon cancer in senior patients.
In her spare time, Dr. Stocking’s diverse interests include photography, Indian rock art, scuba diving, knitting, camping, attending Las Vegas Aces WNBA games, and selling Mary Kay products.
Dr. Stocking earned her BA from the University of Arizona and her MD from Vanderbilt School of Medicine. Before joining Intermountain Healthcare, formerly HealthCare Partners Nevada, she practiced with Summit Medical Group and served in the US Air Force from 1973 to 1976, where she rose to the rank of First Lieutenant.
