A native of Colombia, Aysa Marcela Chavarria grew up with a mother who worked as a nurse assistant. It was her mother’s servant attitude in always helping others that set the example for Aysa to to pursue a career in nursing.
After obtaining her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the Universidad del Norte, from Barranquilla, Colombia, Aysa practiced for several years as a Registered Nurse before moving to the United States. She arrived in Nevada in 2010 and worked as a Registered Nurse while pursuing her master’s degree in nursing, which she obtained from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV) in 2016. Today, Aysa provides Family Medicine care to a broad spectrum of patients, drawing on her experience in long-term care, medical/surgical units, Intensive Care Unit, and the Trauma Unit. She believes that making the patients life better is part of improving the world. Aysa dedicates herself to helping patients, whether they speak English or Spanish.
In her free time, Aysa enjoys playing with and reading to her daughter. She also loves to sing and is pretty good at it too. To keep life balanced, Aysa makes sure she gets physical activity for both fitness and stress relief and also takes long walks and practices yoga.
