Dr. Arlene Rillo grew up in the Philippines and was inspired to go into healthcare because access to physicians was hard to come by. She also wanted to provide quality care to those who needed it. Dr. Rillo started her medical career as a nurse and received her bachelors in nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. She decided to get her doctorate and attended medical school at Far Eastern University in Quezon City, Philippines. Dr. Rillo completed her residency first in OB/GYN from Dr. J Garcia Hospital, Philippines before pursuing a Family Medicine residency at the University of Minnesota in Minnesota. She is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and has been practicing medicine for over 20 years. At Intermountain Healthcare, formerly HealthCare Partners Nevada, Dr. Rillo is a family medicine physician. Being bilingual also allows her to care for more patients as she speaks Tagalog and English fluently. She is passionate about providing excellent care to all patients but has a special love for senior patients and helping them enjoy a good quality of life through easy-to-understand lifestyle methods. Dr. Rillo also enjoys the challenge of more complicated cases to help patients find the root cause of their symptoms. In her free time, Dr. Rillo loves cooking and hiking. Her husband is also a family physician and they enjoy lively discussions on medicine in between spending plenty of time with the family.
