Amanda Johnson joined Intermountain Health because she saw our organization as a growth-focused environment, allowing her to further develop her healthcare and wellness approach. She intends to continue expanding her clinical skills to provide the highest quality care available to her patients.

Dr. Johnson’s clinical experience includes primary care, senior care, substance use disorders, pediatrics, and women & men’s health. Before joining Intermountain Health, she worked as a Registered Nurse (RN) in a medical-surgical/stroke unit and as a COVID-19 telehealth nurse.

Dr. Johnson grew up in Pasadena, California. Her interest in medicine began early in high school, which guided her to the University of California, Irvine. After becoming an RN, she discovered her passion for preventative healthcare while caring for hospitalized patients suffering from complications related to their chronic conditions. She then worked towards becoming a family nurse practitioner (FNP) to learn about chronic disease management with the hope of improving patients’ overall quality of life. After overcoming many additional challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she proudly graduated with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of Arizona.
