How do I know if I can keep my plan?
Depending on your plan, your Medicare Advantage plan may not follow you to a new city, county, or state. If you’re planning a move, it is important for you to consult your Medicare plan provider before you relocate so check whether your new location entitles you to reassess your coverage options.
When can I select a new plan?
If your move alters your eligibility for the plan you are currently enrolled in, you will have a 3-month window where you can make a switch. This period kicks off one month prior to your move and concludes two months after you move.
If you need help re-enrolling in Medicare Advantage or establishing your first-time Medicare Advantage coverage, we can connect you with licensed insurance agents who can help you understand your options.
