Our hospitalists are board-certified or board-eligible internists (internal medicine physicians) who specialize in the care of acutely ill hospitalized patients. They communicate with your Intermountain Health primary care provider and specialists to deliver quality, coordinated care for your needs.

Proactive Care Coordination
Our frequent bedside presence allows us to monitor and provide the timely provision of necessary consultations, diagnostic tests, medications, and procedures.

Discharge Planning
Your hospitalist team will ensure that all your discharge needs are arranged.
Physician-to-Physician Communication
Our physicians speak directly with your primary care and specialty providers to give proper communication for all cases, including but not limited to, complex care and high-risk patients
Timely Communication
We notify your primary care provider about your hospital admission within 24 hours and require discharge summaries at the time of discharge. Our office ensures transmission within 72 hours to your primary care provider.
Outpatient Follow Through
To reduce readmission, we follow through with outpatient phone calls to confirm primary care appointments, ancillary care follow-up, and receipt of prescribed medication.
